This is the newest of Skillweb’s products which has been built as a result of customer demand to have an end to end supply chain solution, and the need to focus on the individual order itself. You will be only too aware of how vital it is to have visibility of work in progress and for these to relate back to the initial order. TOP order management can be used to capture orders, live off the Internet or it can simply capture details from your own POS solution. Whichever method is used the tracking starts immediately on entering the order pool.

So, what’s involved?

This module enables you to cost-effectively manage orders from the start of the order, usually when placed by your customer, right through to when it is successfully fulfilled allowing order closure. Throughout its life your customer’s order will undergo various statuses and checkpoints during its transition to final fulfilment and TOP order management provides total visibility at each and every stage of this process.

A myriad of features such as post code validation, from and to addresses and special delivery instructions provide the functionality to enable you to cleanly capture orders every time. The resulting order pool and validated clean data will provide a sound base from which to meet your delivery promise.

The order pool has a diary function to ensure delivery date flexibility which enables you to pull forward or delay orders to improve your fleet utilisation and reduce the cost per delivery.

You will be able to provide your customers’ order status, reporting via the web to keep them informed automatically as their order is progressed through the supply chain therefore enhancing your reputation as trustworthy and reliable.

This solution can provide seamless links to both Skillweb’s other products and also to your ERP and finance systems. It will provide multiple methods to capture orders, including mail order, web and phone / manual input and importantly provide links necessary to manage your invoicing and improve cashflow.

You can select from three optional outcomes to be triggered by each order:-

They can trigger supply.
They can be passed to a scheduler for manipulation into delivery trip.
They can be passed to customer services to arrange delivery.

Or all three as required.
