Delivering functionality 

Our best of breed solution has both a world class application and a proven stable infrastructure on which to deliver the application.  TOP track & trace – the application is functionally rich, with the ability to manage receipting, deliveries, collections, swap outs, returns, barcode tracking, vehicle safety checks, customer surveys and much more.

The application includes back office functionality to present reports using its web services.  The functionality includes the ability to search for signatures, review all timed tracked events, for example: receipted, loaded to van, delivered and so forth. Another key piece of functionality is the ability to manage courier / driver log-ons and passwords and another is the ability to construct customised reports showing delivery volumes, failure rates, first time success and so forth.

Key though is the platform, the infrastructure and in particular the ability to deal with failure.  Our application and the resulting data is held in non-volatile memory and can survive a cold boot.  In this way your data is protected.  The application is designed to make multiple attempts to log-on, selecting alternate IP addresses of the servers when applicable.  This caters for network failures.  The servers themselves have in-built redundancy and we have a full site-disaster recovery mechanism using transactional logging to a second back up site.  Our solution can use multiple vendor SIM (GPRS & Edge) cards, thereby increasing the connectivity percentage as the device can roam from network to network.  The device, once it has its manifest loaded, can work out of network coverage, ensuring productivity. 

We can remotely manage each device, managing error log files, remotely warm and cold booting and downloading new versions as required.  We can track individual log-ons and co-ordinate this with our asset tracking application that sits alongside the web services application used in your operations office.  The asset tracking software enables you to track devices in use, in the repair process or sitting as hot spares.  As a result you have total control of the devices, where they are, who last used them and processes to keep them productive.
